Community Guidelines

swity is a general-audience platform for showing creative work. Anything you publish can be seen by anyone with the link, so the rule is a simple one: keep it lawful, and keep it suitable for a general audience. These Guidelines are part of our Terms of Service.

Not allowed

• Sexual content: no pornography, no sexual acts, real or simulated, and no imagery whose purpose is arousal rather than depiction. Fashion, portrait, dance and fine-art photography are welcome, and that includes swimwear, lingerie and bare skin. Artistic nudity is welcome too, in photographs as well as in painting and drawing: we judge how a picture is treated, not how much of a person it shows. A photograph showing genitals or bare breasts is looked at by a person before it goes public, so it can take longer to appear. Profile pictures, space photos and exhibition covers are the exception: they appear next to your name wherever you do, so they must show no nudity. These allowances apply to adults only.
• Child safety: absolutely no content that sexualises or endangers minors, and no nude or sexualised images of anyone under 18. A photograph in which a child appears is checked by a person before it goes public, and so is a revealing picture of anyone who may be under 18. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is reported to the authorities and preserved as required by law.
• Graphic violence: no gore, or content glorifying or inciting violence.
• Hate and harassment: no attacks on people based on who they are, and no bullying, threats or harassment.
• Illegal content and activity: nothing that breaks the law, including terrorist content, or the sale of illegal goods.
• Others’ rights: don’t post content you don’t have the rights to, and don’t infringe copyright, trademarks or someone’s privacy.
• Impersonation and deception: don’t pretend to be someone else or mislead visitors.
• Spam and malware: no spam, scams, malicious links or attempts to abuse the service.

What happens if content breaks the rules

Depending on the severity, we may remove the content, disable the associated tags, limit or suspend the account, or, for illegal content, report it to and preserve it for the competent authorities. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban.

Reporting something

If you see content that breaks these Guidelines or the law, use the Report link at the foot of any published page. It asks what is wrong and what we should look at, and it reaches the same place whether or not you have an account: you do not need one to report what you are looking at.

In the swity app (version 1.1 and later), open the profile and choose Report from the menu in the top corner.

Blocking someone

In the app (version 1.1 and later) you can block another account from its profile. A blocked account cannot send you requests or invitations, and it stops appearing in your copy of the app. It works both ways, so neither of you can newly reach the other.

Blocking is a personal boundary, not a moderation decision. Anything already arranged stays as it is: published pages stay published, work in an exhibition stays in it, and placards already agreed stay on their pages. Only an invitation still waiting for an answer between you is withdrawn. Nothing changes on the public web, because no account can remove another’s public presence by blocking it. If something breaks these Guidelines, report it. You can undo a block at any time from Settings › Blocked accounts.

Appeals

If we act on your content and you think we got it wrong, write to contact@swity.app, or reply to our email if we sent one, and we’ll take another look. If a page is blocked, you can also ask us to look again from inside the app.
